Highway 11/71 International Falls corridor planning public meeting Aug. 18 (Aug. 10, 2026)

DULUTH, Minn. –  The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting the public to attend a public meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at the Minnesota North College - Rainy River commons area to learn about the recommended alternative for the Highway 11/71 corridor in International Falls. The study area is between the intersection of Koochiching County Road 91 and Hwy 53/Second Avenue.

MnDOT will host the event at 5 p.m. with a short presentation at 5:15 p.m. The project team will be available to hear feedback and answer questions.

The purpose of the study is to create a common vision and guidance for improving safety and efficiency for all users of the corridor. To learn more, please visit talk.dot.state.mn.us/hwy-11-71-international-falls-corridor-study
